KEP Nuclear designs and manufactures innovative solutions for tritium measurement.
For on-line measurement in gas (HT) or liquid (HTO), systems based on X or bêta rays detection are developed with objective to decrease detection limit and take into account the low intensity of the signal and the low energy of X or bêtas rays.
A KEP Nuclear innovation allows to develop a new device to trap on a solid getter and measure tritium after thermal desorption (patent deposited in may 2016).
These developments lead to offer new products for fusion research or industry using tritium.
KEP Nuclear is able to implement other devices on line (Raman spectrometry, gas chromatography …). KEP Nuclear develops the conceptual design of hot cell building laboratory of ITER for the characterization and analysis of radioactive samples taken for radiological wastes and physics purposes.
